Things To Do In Pomada Queimada Mexico

The Pomada Queimada (Church of Santa Maria de Gracia in the parish of Pomada) is located in a town called Pomada. It is an older church and was built in the 15th century. The entire congregation is made up of devotees of the Virgin Mary and has a unique Spanish flavor with its pomada blanca music. While at the Pomada queimadura you will be able to see the Virgin of Guadalupe as she is believed to have appeared to the infant Jesus in this parish.

There are many quaint restaurants, charming shops and art galleries located within walking distance to the Pomada parish. The town also offers many activities such as boat trips out to the sea, trips to mineral waterfalls, trips to the world-class championship golf course and horse riding. The town is also famous for its enchilada, which is a dough filled pastry filled with spicy chorizo, black olives, onions and habanera peppers. The enchilada is wrapped around a cone and is usually served during lunch or dinner. Many local restaurants offer enchilada and it is very popular.

The Pomada de la Playa is an open air museum that displays local pottery, stone statuettes and other items. You can find all types of local art on display here. There are also exhibits and events all year round. In the summer months the Playa holds a Festival of Light, which is a great event to visit.

While at the Pomada de Gracia you should also check out the town's largest distillery. This distillery is called La Bandera and is a great stop on any of your trips to Guadalajara. At night the town becomes alive with the sound of dancing traditional Mexican folk music. One particular highlight is when groups from the community come out to play maracas and shake their sticks. This is known as aguas frescas, which means wind claps.

You will not want to miss a trip out to Tortuguero. This old Spanish town is known for its history and churches. While you are touring this area be sure to take some time to see the beautiful church and the historic center.

If you enjoy surfing you will love the beaches here. The surfing is great and the waves reach up to three stories high. There are tons of beach resorts here including one known as Casa De San Diego. It has all of the necessities for a comfortable stay including running water. For those who enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling there are several dive sites including an aquarium. There is so much to do at the Pomada Queimada.
